Refund/Return Policy

At PenPoint Notary Services, we are committed to providing professional, timely, and reliable notarial services. We understand that unexpected situations can occur, and this policy outlines when refunds, rescheduling, or service credits may be available.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds will only be issued under the following conditions:

✔️ Clerical Errors:
If a clerical error is made by our notary (e.g., incorrect date, misspelled name, incomplete notarization), we will correct the mistake at no additional charge. If the correction is not possible, a full refund will be issued.

✔️ Service Not Rendered:
If a service is paid for but cannot be completed due to an error on our part or inability to fulfill the appointment, a full refund will be provided.

2. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Due to the nature of notarial services, refunds are not available in the following scenarios:

❌ Client Error:
Refunds will not be issued if the issue stems from incomplete forms, invalid or missing ID, or incorrect information provided by the client.

❌ Change of Mind:
Once the notarization or service is completed, refunds will not be issued due to a change in circumstance or decision.

❌ Late Cancellations or No-Shows:
Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice may be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
No-shows for mobile appointments may be charged the full travel fee.

3. Returned or Bounced Payments

All returned, declined, or bounced payments are subject to a $35 service fee. Future services may require pre-payment if a payment issue occurs.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. Please note:

  • Provide at least 2 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Late cancellations (under 2 hours) may be charged a $25 cancellation fee.

  • No-shows for mobile appointments may be charged the full travel fee as agreed upon during booking.

5. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of your appointment

  • Provide a written explanation and any supporting documentation to: andreapitts@penpointnotaryservices.org

  • We will review your request and respond within 2 business days

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method within 3 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been processed.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question. We are not responsible for document rejections, delays, or damages due to client errors, incomplete forms, or third-party handling.

8. Policy Changes

PenPoint Notary Services reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected on our website with the effective date.
