Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or using notary services through PenPoint Notary Services (“we,” “our,” or “the company”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully before confirming your appointment.

2. Services Offered

PenPoint Notary Services provides the following services:

  • General Notary Work

  • Loan Signing Services

  • Mobile Notary Services

  • Remote Online Notarization (RON)

  • Apostille Facilitation

  • I-9 Employment Verifications

  • Estate Planning Document Notarizations

All services are performed in compliance with Texas notarial laws.

3. Not a Legal Service Provider

We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or legal document preparation. We cannot explain documents, advise you on the advisability of signing, or interpret the contents of any paperwork. Doing so would constitute the unauthorized practice of law and is strictly prohibited.

4. Identification Requirements

All signers must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID at the time of service.
Acceptable forms include:

  • Driver’s License

  • Passport

  • Military ID

  • State-issued ID

ID must match the name on the document being signed unless otherwise permitted by Texas law.

5. Payments & Fees

  • Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Accepted methods: Cash, Zelle, Cash App, or invoice (electronic payment)

  • Travel, convenience, or after-hours fees may apply and will be disclosed prior to confirming your appointment.

  • Returned or failed payments are subject to a $35 fee.

6. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that things happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule:

  • Please provide at least 2 hours’ notice

  • Cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice may incur a $25 fee

  • No-shows for mobile appointments may be charged the full travel fee

7. Appointment Timing & Grace Periods

We allow a 10-minute grace period for all appointments. After that time, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or marked as a no-show.

For mobile appointments, travel will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please be ready upon arrival.

8. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

  • A valid ID is not provided

  • The signer appears confused, intoxicated, or coerced

  • The document is incomplete or appears fraudulent

  • There is any suspicion of unethical or illegal activity

9. Remote Online Notarization (RON) Requirements

To participate in a RON session, clients must have:

  • A strong internet connection

  • A working camera and microphone

  • The ability to pass identity verification and credential analysis

  • A willingness to be recorded during the notarization process (as required by law)

10. Document Preparation

Clients are responsible for completing all documents prior to notarization. We do not provide document templates, preparation services, or legal form assistance.

11. Travel Policy

Mobile appointments are available throughout Houston, League City, Galveston, Brazoria, and surrounding areas. Additional travel fees may apply for long-distance locations and will be disclosed in advance.

12. Confidentiality

All information shared with PenPoint Notary Services is kept strictly confidential and will never be sold or disclosed, except when required by law.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
